Sound clips will be saved in the default format ('snd', 22KHz, 8 bit, stereo). When registered, all sound clip file format options will be enabled.
Select this option if you are using a driver other than Apple CD-ROM, and you are having problems playing CDs (the CD does not respond or starts but then stops immediately).
If this option is selected, track lists defined in AppleCD Audio Player will be used when 'Shuffle Play' is activated instead of random track ordering.
To display the track time for each item in the track popup menu, select this option.
To display the track name for each item in the track popup menu, as entered into AppleCD Audio Player, select this option.
To display the track number for each item in the track popup menu, select this option.
To display the disc name at the top of the track popup menu, as entered into AppleCD Audio Player, select this option.
This option allows you to select the default time display mode in the remote control display. This selection will be set every time the remote is popped up. If 'Last Setting' is selected, the setting will be retained between uses.
If this option is selected, audio CDs will be ejected automatically when the current program ends (normal or shuffle play), as long as a repeat mode is not in effect. Program and A-B repeat modes will override this feature.
If this option is selected, both CD-ROMs and audio CDs can be ejected with the eject command or with 'Auto-eject'. If this option is not selected, only audio CDs are effected.
If this option is selected, pressing and releasing a button on the remote control will produce an audible button click.
If this option is selected, pressing a valid PopupCD command key will produce an audible click as confirmation the command was received.
If this option is selected, an alias to the "PopupCD Sound Clips" folder will be created and placed in the Apple Menu Items folder at startup, or the next time a sound clip is captured. The folder will then appear in the Apple menu for easy access.
To store sound clips in stereo, select this option. File size is twice that of mono files.
To store sound clips in mono (left and right channels summed), select this option. File size is half that of stereo files.
To store sound clips with the full 16 bits (65535 levels) of resolution per sample, select this option. File size is twice that of 8 bit files, but the sound quality is much better.
To store sound clips with 8 bits (256 levels) of resolution per sample, select this option. File size is half that of 16 bit files.
To store sound clips with the full 44 Khz sampling rate (no loss of high frequencies), select this option. This option results in the highest quality sound, but the largest file size.
To store sound clips with a 22 Khz sampling rate (high frequencies are limited to around 11 KHz), select this option. File size is half that of 44KHz files.
To store sound clips with an 11 Khz sampling rate (high frequencies are limited to around 5.5 KHz), select this option. File size is half that of 22 KHz files.
To store sound clips as standard AIFF files, usable in most sound editing applications, select this option.
To store sound clips as standard System 7 sound files playable from the Finder and as the system beep, select this option.
To ignore any changes made to the above settings, and revert to the preferences set before the dialog was called up, click this button.
To accept and save the above settings, click this button.
